Updated navigation data for the COMAND Online (NTG5 Star2) navigation unit.
The update featuring navigation data for 49 countries, with major and minor roads, towns, villages and plenty of points of interest in:
Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia (FYROM), Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Romania, Russia, San Marino, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom and Vatican City.

Over 18.1 million kilometres of road are covered by the navigation data on the new version.
Intensive work means that the quality of the maps for Czech Republic has been significantly increased (110,540 km Prime Coverage*, compared with 108,464 km with the previous version). The new version features 94,733 towns and communities.

Points of Interest (POI):
Almost 7.6 million key Points Of Interest are featured on the USB flash drive, including filling stations, car parks, museums, restaurants and hospitals. There are around 488,000 more POIs here than on the previous version. If required, the navigation system will also show the user the quickest route to 3126 Mercedes-Benz service outlets. Some 65,958 restaurants and 6842 hotels have been added to the new version.

Dynamic route guidance based on the latest traffic data (TMC/RDS):
Using the data from the Traffic Message Channel, the navigation system takes into account the latest motorway traffic bulletins and automatically calculates diversions. This convenient service is now available in 49 countries.

Road network updates:
map updates include millions of changes, e.g. new roads, crossroads, bypasses, junctions and
motorway slip roads and exits. One section of road may feature up to 260 attributes, such as the number of lanes or one-way routing
. All of these attributes and the vast number of points of interest have to be updated constantly. In this new version, for example, over 34,530 roundabouts, 391,283 turning restrictions, 152,262 one-way streets and 1,326,341 street names have been updated. In addition over 791,480 kilometres of road have been updated, including approx. 15,647 sections of motorways and dual carriageways.

This navigation update for NTG5 Star2 is copy-protected for COMAND Online. To import up-to-date map data, a six-digit activation code is required in addition to the USB flash drive. Each activation code represents a licence to use the map data in a single vehicle and is exclusively valid for a specific combination of vehicle, COMAND Online and map version.
Navigation updates can be obtained free of charge via the COMAND Download Manager; the required vehicle-specific activation codes are available via the VeDoc system. At the same time, the newly acquired license is documented in VeDoc. The activation code is usually subject to a fee, however, replacements
can be requested without charge in VeDoc.

Ordering an activation code requires access to VeDoc and specific user rights. Access to VeDoc is free of charge. User rights are assigned by the VeDoc hotline.
