Product Description

A completely revised mid-range model series was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 1989. The main focus of the facelift was the restyling of the body and the new-look interior.
The most distinctive feature of the facelifted models was the protective side strips with integral side skirt panels, a similar form of which had been introduced on the Coupé models two and a half years earlier.
This effect was reinforced by chromed trim elements on the door handles and modified wheel trim with a chromed Mercedes star logo and a narrow trim ring around the circumference.
Other changes included painting the exterior mirror housings in body colour. The interior also had a new design, with improved front and rear seats and numerous detailed enhancements.
